as we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.

We came out without reading anything critical of WT. Our 35 years as model witnesses was enough for us. We were exhausted and had spent a year or so regularly talking about things that didn't make sense and that we disagreed with. After almost a year, I dared to look for others who were out. I was totally "happified" to find so many and spent hours reading exJW personal stories.

I would have laughed at how ludicrous it sounds. Of course, we know that Jehovah uses the gb to dispense new light.

Many Bethelites brag that one of the benefits of serving at Bethel is how closely they work with governing body. In reality, few of them have had any real conversation with them. I mean, beyond discussing how great the WT lesson for the week is.
One afternoon, Carey Barber came around Bossert giving all the sisters a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and encouraging us to stay in the truth. I said, "I just wonder how I'll feel if it doesn't come anytime soon?" He gave me a kiss on the cheek and said "Just stay in the truth, no matter what."
The lesson has always and will always be, Listen, Obey and be Blessed. They don't have time for our silly questions.

Your boys love you. At this time, they are angry, bitter, and disrespectful. But they do love you and you definitely love them. Use words that remind them of that.

i went to the mall recently .....omg!
glad i don't have to go through all the craziness over christmas shopping..
Christmas season is full of beautiful, fun and festive music, lights and decorations. My family loves receiving and giving gifts.
I do hate shopping (no matter the season), so each year I've fine tuned my gift gifting to minimize stress and maximize happiness. Many Americans feel it is overly commercialized and materialistic. But it doesn't have to be. It is what you make of it.
There is definitely a joyful spirit during the season. And the expressions on the faces of my kids, and other family who left also, lets me know how much we missed out on being WT slaves.

one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.
Unfortunately, family history of suicide dramatically increases the risk. Stay well JWSO

i just watched it on dvd, and holy cow, i can see so many similarities to the watch tower!
i don't want to give anythng away for those who would like to see it, but i really wish the way it ended was a possibility in watch tower world..
just put it in my netflix queue, will check it out.

i know to most people that is not an important event.
